Check out www.voicestress.org for information on the "futility" of voice stress testing.

Ralph,

if this site is valid, why don't we link this under the main page heading "Public Service Warning?"

I think we have Skip Webb to thank as the person who maintains this excellent site.

It would be great to have a similar resource to keep people even-keel with all the hype that fMRI gets. People lack awareness of the application and cost problems, and that the samples are small to noneexistent with validation experiments that seem to weigh heavily on subjects who are paying for the efforts of the investigators to help them with a case (i.e., non-random samples consisting of people who generally want to prove there innocence, and no validation experiments). Then we have the over-hyped sales pitches about "direct measurement" of deception and all the misunderstandings about that fact there still may be multiple causes for an pattern of observed brain activity.

Hey Jim,

Great Idea. I have a new important links area on the blog, I will put the voicestress.org link on there as well.
